The vest is inflatable which is more comfortable to wear, has less bulk, and is easy to don. It has been designed to be comfortable while wearing a side arm and restraint straps in an aircraft cockpit. The flotation bladder is made of highly visible yellow fabric to facilitate sighting in the water.
